Shishimaru is one of the main characters in Ninja Hattori-kun. He is Hattori and Shinzo's dog. Its dog breed is chow chow.
Physical appearance[]
Shishimaru morphs into a ball
Shishimaru is a medium-sized, if not slightly plump yellow dog with brown jowls and chocolate brown ears. He also can change his shape and size, albeit only to a certain extent.
He has an mark of a white star on his forehead which represents the Iga Clan. This mark signifies the fact that he comes from the Iga Clan, like Hattori and Shinzo.

Personality and traits[]
Shishimaru loves to eat, his favourite food being chikuwa, Japanese fish sausages, but referred to as chocolate rolls in the Hindi dubs. He is lazy and somewhat sloppy, and tries to get out of training.

Owned by the two brothers, Sohishimaru is very loyal to Hattori and Shinzo, but there are the times when he is too

Shinzo are both inseparable, often working and playing together, but there are playful arguments every now and then.
Kenichi, Yumeko and the Mitsubas[]
Shishimaru's workshy personality annoys the ant-like Mitsuba clan. He irks them by raiding the fridge, and spends half of his time fast asleep instead of helping out. However, they love him all the same.
Yumeko is friendly with Shishimaru, and once relied on him to give her the weather forecast.
Kemumaki and Kagechiyo[]
As an Iga Ninja, Shishimaru is a natural rival of Kemumaki and Kagechiyo. Kagechiyo and Shishimaru fight like cats and dogs, for the reason that they are cat and dog.
Tsubame[]
Despite being from the same clan as Tsubame, Shishimaru has little tolerance for her because of her bossy personality. However, they do work together when they have to.
